Faculty Teaching Awards, April 10 (Phoenix)
& April 13 (Tucson)

The Phoenix Faculty Teaching Awards — set for April 10, 5:30 p.m., Holiday Inn Select, Airport — will include Educator of the Year and Dean's List for Excellence in Teaching, Outstanding Achievement in Teaching as well as Support Staff of the Year awards.

In Tucson, outstanding departments and individual faculty members will be honored at the Vernon and Virginia Furrow and 20th Annual Faculty Teaching Award ceremonies—set for April 13, noon, DuVal Auditorium.

The Vernon and Virginia Furrow Awards will be presented for Excellence in Teaching Medical Students, Excellence in Graduate Medical Education, Excellence in Innovations in Teaching, as well as Innovations in Medical Education Grants.

Faculty Teaching Awards, which are nominated and elected by medical students, include Basic Science and Clinical Science Educator of the Year, Dean's List for Excellence in Teaching, Outstanding Teaching by a Teaching Assistant, and Outstanding Achievement in Teachings.
