People on the Move
Lihua Marmorstein, PhD, cell biologist and member of the Southwest Age-Related Macular Degeneration (ARMD) Research Program at the UA College of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology, is the recipient of a $200,000 Career Development Award from Research to Prevent Blindness (RPB), the world's leading voluntary organization supporting eye research. Dr. Marmorstein is an assistant professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Department of Cell Biology and Anatomy.

Elizabeth Beckett, Maria Felix, Yvonne Senn and Cathy Wakefield from the College of Medicine, Denise Angel and Pat Wharton from the College of Nursing, Lisa Augustine and Elizabeth Mellor from the College of Pharmacy and Rachel Gideon from the Mel & Enid Zuckerman Arizona College of Public Health were honored with Staff Awards of Excellence at the annual Employee Recognition Awards presentation on March 23 in DuVal Auditorium. Maria Felix received the AHSC Dedicated Service Award (formerly known as the Georgia Reynolds Award).
