Young Researchers Explore the Potential of Science to Improve Health

THE EVENT: The University of Arizona College of Pharmacy Student Showcase highlights the research efforts of more than two dozen pharmacy students. The showcase is an opportunity for pharmacy students to share their unique research efforts with fellow scientists, pharmacy faculty and the public.

DATE AND TIME: Thursday, April 8, Noon - 4 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public.

LOCATION: East plaza of the UA College of Pharmacy,

1703 E. Mabel (Corner of Warren & Mabel)

PRESENTERS: Nearly 30 doctor of pharmacy students and pharmacy graduate students will display and discuss poster presentations of their research projects.

TOPICS: Presentations will cover a wide variety of health care research topics related to pharmacy: alternative medicine, poison prevention, health promotion, diabetes, rural health issues, pharmacy history, immunizations, pharmaceutical economics, pharmacology, toxicology and more.
