Announces Two Grand Round Lectures

The Mel and Enid Zuckerman Arizona College of Public Health has announced the first two lectures of its Fall 2002 Public Health Grand Rounds schedule. These Grand Rounds provide a forum for sharing a range of public health issues and prevention programs related to community health. Presentations focus on local, state, national or global public health topics, including those from other disciplines that may affect public health.

Grand Rounds also address education and training needs for students, faculty, administrators, residents and community health practitioners. Presentations are provided by medical, nursing, pharmacy and public health faculty, national public health figures and invited guests from community, local and state agencies.

Public Health Grand Rounds are held every first, third and fifth (if applicable) Tuesday of the month, starting Sept. 17, at the Arizona Cancer Center, Kiewit Auditorium, noon to 1 p.m. Presentations are teleconferenced to the Arizona Health Sciences Center Phoenix Campus, 4001 N. 3rd St., Suite 415, and Northern Arizona University, College of Health Professions, Building 66, Room 229. In addition, they are broadcast through the Arizona Telemedicine Program and local cable television-on Cox Cable Channel 76 and Comcast (People' Choice) Channel 48. The first two lectures are:

Established by the Arizona Board of Regents in January 2000, the Mel and Enid Zuckerman Arizona College of Public Health is the first public health college in the four corner states and represents a tri-university collaborative effort among the University of Arizona, Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University.
