Dr. Jordan Smith Joins UA Department of Orthopaedic Surgery

Jordan Smith, MD, has joined University Physicians Healthcare and the faculty of the University of Arizona Department of Orthopaedic Surgery as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Smith earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of Arizona and an orthopaedic trauma fellowship from Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C. Dr. Smith recently returned from Europe where he received additional training in computer assisted surgery in Germany. He returns to Tucson to join the team of John Ruth, MD, and Lisa Truchan, MD, Southern Arizona’s only orthopaedic trauma surgeons.
As a fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon, Dr. Smith specializes in fracture care, treatment of fracture nonunions and malunions, management of pelvic and hip fractures, and limb salvage.
